Andrzej Cetnarski is the Managing General Partner, Founder, and Chief Investment & Innovation Officer of ACRELL Investments, where he leads the firm’s investment strategy, underwriting discipline, portfolio performance, and technology-enabled operating precision—and co-leads acquisitions strategy and deal sourcing alongside the leadership team. With more than two decades of experience as a multifamily investor, operator and institutional dealmaker, Andrzej brings Wall Street-grade financial rigor, execution discipline, and a systems-driven approach to every transaction ACRELL undertakes.
Prior to founding ACRELL, Andrzej developed deep operating and construction-management experience at McMaster-Carr, where he led cross-functional teams across internal audit, sales operations, construction oversight, and logistics—ultimately helping deliver a 900,000-square-foot distribution facility and supporting complex turnaround programs totaling over $1 billion in value. After earning his MBA from The Wharton School, he joined UBS in New York, first advising technology, aerospace, and defense clients before moving into real estate investment banking, where he advised leading platforms and blue-chip corporate clients on more than $8 billion of M&A, equity, and debt transactions across multifamily, lodging and hospitality, gaming and casino, office, student housing, industrial, and data-center assets across the US, Europe, and Asia. He later built and led a luxury real estate and hospitality platform spanning 725 assets across six continents, integrating international headquarters teams with on-the-ground operating organizations to deliver performance at scale.
Following a firsthand exposure to cyber risk in a real estate operating environment at scale, Andrzej earned an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School focused on national security and cybersecurity, and subsequently founded Cyber Nation Central® to help boards and executive teams manage complex operational, technological, and governance risk in institutional environments.
Andrzej also brings a distinct government and public-sector liaison background that adds strategic value in complex multifamily environments—particularly where municipal coordination, regulatory navigation, and stakeholder alignment can improve outcomes for both communities and investors. He began his career working for U.S. Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney and later served on a 20-member CEO leadership council alongside top CEOs from global firms like Google Hong Kong, Verizon Hong Kong, and Cathay Pacific. In that role, he regularly hosted U.S. congressional delegations and engaged in cross-border stakeholder initiatives to represent American business interests across Asia. He has held leadership and advisory roles in national and global governance initiatives, including work with the Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue, equipping him to engage local, state, national, and international authorities and navigate complex regulatory landscapes.
At ACRELL, Andrzej is known for transforming underwriting and portfolio-level performance management into a repeatable institutional operating system—combining institutional-grade analytics, downside-first risk management, and innovation-led process design to drive speed, clarity, and accountability from first look through close and ongoing oversight. He leads ACRELL’s origination strategy and directly oversees Midwest execution, maintaining disciplined market coverage and a consistent, high-quality pipeline aligned with the firm’s standards.
Andrzej’s work has been recognized by Forbes, the U.S. Congress, the RSA Conference, and the U.S. national security community. He holds an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from The Wharton School, an MPA from Harvard, an MA from UPenn’s Lauder Institute, and an Honors BA in Economics from the University of Chicago.
At ACRELL, Andrzej leads with a single standard: disciplined value-add execution, transparent partnership, and the certainty that when your deal fits the thesis—our team moves decisively, underwrites honestly, engages proactively with stakeholders, and closes professionally.
