Douglas Place is a seasoned finance and operations executive with over 40 years of leadership experience across corporate finance, accounting, international operations, and investor relations. A CPA with an MBA in International Finance, Doug has held C-suite positions in public and private companies and worked extensively with global manufacturing, automotive, and industrial enterprises—managing operations and finance across 13 countries.
Doug has secured more than $500 million in capital through public equity offerings, debenture financings, private equity partnerships, mezzanine structures, and cross-border credit arrangements. He has led IPO processes, overseen complex international tax compliance, managed SEC reporting functions, and executed major liquidity events and restructurings.
With deep experience in due diligence, operational finance, M&A integration, corporate controls, and financial strategy, Doug brings an institutional discipline to both the analytical and operational sides of the business.
At ACRELL Investments, Doug serves as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, overseeing the firm’s corporate operations, financial management, and capital markets strategy. As head of underwriting & due diligence, he leads all financial analysis, investment evaluation, and end-to-end diligence processes—ensuring every acquisition meets ACRELL’s rigorous standards for performance, risk management, and operational integrity.
