Douglas Place is Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of ACRELL Investments and a former Fortune 500 CFO, bringing more than four decades of experience across corporate finance, operations, underwriting, and global capital markets. At ACRELL, he leads the firm’s financial management, underwriting discipline, due diligence, and operational execution, helping ensure each acquisition aligns with ACRELL’s standards for risk management, performance, and long-term value creation.
Doug began his career at Arthur Andersen, earning his CPA while advising multinational clients on financial reporting and international tax matters. He later served in senior finance and operating leadership roles across public and private companies, managing complex financial and operational platforms across 13 countries.
His experience spans acquisitions, structured financings, SEC reporting, international operations, corporate controls, and liquidity events. Across his career, he has helped lead capital raises totaling more than $500 million through public equity, private capital, mezzanine, and credit structures.
At ACRELL, Doug applies that experience to a focused multifamily investment strategy across the Midwest and select high-growth secondary markets.
