Raymond Lord serves as a Strategic Acquisitions Advisor to ACRELL Investments and is a Principal and Senior Managing Director at SVN OAK Realty Advisors. He brings more than three decades of commercial real estate experience spanning multifamily investment sales, acquisitions and dispositions, financial analysis, asset management, institutional advisory, receiverships, lender workouts, recapitalizations, and property management.
Active in commercial real estate since 1987, Raymond has developed particular expertise in multifamily and investment properties, including B- and C-class workforce housing. Throughout his career, he has advised individual investors, high-net-worth investors, institutional investors, private equity groups, lenders, banks, REITs, trusts, and other private-capital clients.
As a Strategic Acquisitions Advisor, Raymond provides ACRELL with senior market, transaction, and operating perspective across the firm’s approved multifamily investment activities. His role supports disciplined opportunity assessment, transaction execution, operating-plan review, and engagement with lenders and other key counterparties. He also brings established industry relationships and first-hand familiarity with the operating realities of multifamily assets across ACRELL’s approved target markets.
Raymond’s involvement strengthens ACRELL’s ability to assess investments through both an ownership and execution lens. His experience is particularly relevant where performance depends on sound market judgment, operational discipline, counterparty credibility, and a realistic evaluation of asset-level risks and opportunities. His current and prior real estate record includes ownership exposure to more than 2,000 multifamily units and management experience encompassing more than 4,000 units through SVN OAK Realty.
Over the course of his career, Raymond has participated in multi-billion-dollar transaction activity involving investment sales, joint ventures, redevelopment assignments, recapitalizations, and other complex advisory engagements. His geographic experience extends throughout the Midwest and Southwest United States.
Raymond also serves as a court-appointed receiver in connection with SVN International Corp. and as a Receiver with the Commercial Receivers Association. His receivership experience includes lender workouts and challenged or distressed real estate assignments requiring disciplined financial analysis, asset preservation, operational oversight, and practical resolution strategies.
He has handled assignments involving FNMA, the FDIC, the Resolution Trust Corporation, institutional investors, and banking organizations. This background contributes a disciplined downside perspective to his work with property owners, lenders, investors, and ACRELL.
Raymond has been recognized as a leading multifamily transaction professional within the SVN organization. He is a member of SVN’s Partners Circle, representing the organization’s top-performing brokers nationally, and has been recognized among SVN’s leading professionals by transaction volume.
Outside of his professional activities, Raymond is a father of five and grandfather of four. He enjoys sailing, skiing, and hiking.
